Doxford Hall Gifts Couples Marrying in Bi-centenary Year

Doxford Hall Gifts Couples Marrying in Bi-centenary Year: Image 1

Built in 1818, Doxford Hall celebrates its bi-centenary, and a decade of hosting stylish weddings as a luxury country house hotel this year.

A Georgian Manor house, crafted from mellow stone, and designed by sought-after architect, John Dobson, it is set in 10 acres of private grounds. With its formal gardens and manicured lawns, featuring a yew tree maze, Doxford Hall is a dreamy, romantic and very photogenic venue.

On top of stunning looks and period elegance, Doxford Hall has been awarded 4 red stars, and is the only venue in Northumbria which boasts this crème de la crème AA rating.

Why not celebrate this special anniversary with the venue by enjoying one of the complimentary gifts on offer for couples marrying in 2018, with each month bestowing a special bonus gift, for example, a glass of prosecco for each guest (November); or an extra course added to the wedding breakfast 'on the house' (October)?

With a range of beautiful reception rooms to choose from, whether your wedding is an intimate affair or a grander full-scale celebration – your every need is met.

'The Flower Room' is ideally suited for a ceremony up to 20; or 'The Kennedy Room', an elegant ballroom which accommodates up to 200 guests; 'The George Runciman' suite, with its grand fireplace and elaborate chandeliers; 'The Library', with superb garden views and stained-glass decorative ceiling light; The light-filled 'Northumberland Room', with Chinoiserie period detailing, pretty garden views; or oak-panelled 'Frank Henry Mason', perfectly suited to a candlelit reception dinner.

The Aqueous Spa enjoys a full range of facilities including indoor pool, steam, sauna and Jacuzzi and five treatment rooms delivering Darphin world-class spa treatments, making the venue even more attractive.

New for this year is the provision of a 'bridal pampering suite' – dedicated to the bride and her entourage from 7am on the big day, where breakfast, 'elevenses' with bubbles, and getting ready for the wedding ahead is good girly fun.

With bespoke flexible winter and midweek packages, your wedding may be more reasonable than you may at first anticipate. Or celebrate in style and enjoy 'exclusive use' of the whole estate for your special day – why not discuss packages and prices over afternoon tea?
