While off-the-peg styles are often in single colourways, by having a headpiece made by a milliner, you can have any combination of colours. If your budget doesn't run to a commissioned piece, a milliner creation can be achieved by using a plain and reasonably-priced hat or fascinator which can be trimmed to match the colours of your outfit.

"One of my customers Ruth Skinner, wasn't a hat-wearer and didn't have a large budget. For her basic black hat, I created a feather pom to pull out the black, dusky pink and beige in her dress, and then highlighted with a stronger pink."
