The Grand Hotel is a perfectly situated wedding venue overlooking one of the most picturesque locations in the North East: Longsands Beach. Tynemouth Priory and St Mary's Lighthouse are both a short distance from this historic hotel, which was built in 1872 as a summer residence for the Duchess of Northumberland. Traditionally Victorian with a modern twist, the grand sweeping staircase showcases the magnificence of the building, while the roof-top terrace is a hidden gem – think a beautiful outdoor space where your guests can enjoy drinks while taking in the sea view.
   With three private function suites, three elegant bridal suites and endless photo opportunities, your big day will be one to remember. Ceremonies take place in The Pearl Room (100 guests) or The Orchid Suite (140 guests), and you can also choose to host your reception in either of the above spaces. Alternatively, why not choose The Grand Chambers? This suite can accommodate up to 200 guests, and you can even hire live music so your guests can party the night away.
