I’m a professional celebrant - that means I create individual or unique ceremonies based on your ideas and dreams to help you celebrate the remarkable events of your life - for example new beginnings (weddings, namings etc), or restatements (vow renewals etc) or significant events (anniversaries, awards etc) for you and your family (or work colleagues).
My first job is to get to know ‘you’ and the celebration you want to have - Most ceremonies are a blend of a subject, theme and a style…and I work with you to make sure you have the ceremony that’s right for you – for example, you may want a ‘classic’ wedding but with a ‘spiritual’ theme or a ‘funky’ ceremony with a ‘witches’ theme – anything is possible..!
We will jointly work at developing suitable ‘rituals’ that can help build a symbolic part of any ceremony:
The list is endless and it’s one of my favourite things to create unique rituals to symbolise and individualise your ceremony.
You may just want something simple and uncomplicated – that’s ok too!
We can then work out music, readings, how to have others involved (in person or on Zoom etc)
So on the day, I act as the ‘glue’ for the ceremony, making sure it works from start to finish.
I work with people from all walks of life, ages, race, creed, disabilities as well as those with different sexual orientation or who express their gender in a non-traditional (or specific) way.
