Explore Southern Iceland with new panorama glass lodge escapes
The new immersive four-day Panorama Glass Lodge Escape experience has been created by specialist travel company Off the Map Travel. This is the first time this accommodation has been included in a luxury travel itinerary, where couples can watch the Northern Lights or enjoy the stunning summertime views from the comfort of their eco-friendly lodge, before being taken on privately guided tours of nearby hotspots.
Four glass domed lodges, each named after Norse mythology characters, sit on this remote piece of land, providing panoramic views of the Icelandic arctic tundra, volcano Hekla and rivers of crystal clear water. The self-catering accommodation sleeps two guests with a custom-made, king-sized bed. As well as a fully equipped kitchen there is an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower and sustainable toiletries from Iceland’s own SÓLEY organics. Guests also have access to a private sauna and hot tub where they can relax and unwind, surrounded by nature, after the day’s adventures.
Over the course of the four-day experience, guests will visit ice caves on the South Coast, have a snowmobile adventure at a glacier and take a dip in the Blue Lagoon. The experience wouldn’t be complete without exploring Iceland’s capital city Reykjavik.
The four-day, three-night Panorama Glass Lodge Escape itinerary costs from £3,199 per person, on a self-catering basis, based on two people travelling, not including flights.
This includes privately guided tours in a luxury jeep throughout, two nights in luxury panoramic accommodation, one night’s hotel accommodation in Reykjavik, and all activities listed, with private guides who can tailor the itinerary based on the weather and time of year.
