Journeying through British history, and taking place across a seven-and-a-half-acre stage in County Durham, you'll see 1,000 cast and crew bringing to life the story of Viking invasions, royal splendour, wars, heroic sacrifice, and seismic change to locals' lives.

Set in a glorious location overlooking the Durham heritage coastline, Seaham Hall was built in 1791 by Sir Ralph Milbanke, whose daughter married poet Lord Byron in Seaham Hall's drawing room in 1815.

The Georgian house has enjoyed a rich and eventful past, becoming a military hospital during WW1 and playing a key role in the US Prohibition, by bottling Spey whisky and smuggling it to America via a tunnel to Seaham Harbour that's still visible to this day in Seaham Hall's wine cellar.
