Before I Do - the honeymoon must-have, you won't put it down!
Here at County Wedding Magazines HQ we do love a good book to get our teeth into - not...
Located in eight acres of beautiful grounds, Paxton House is the perfect backdrop to a wedding day with gardens, woodland and riverside setting. The stunning 17th-century Georgian mansion is on the banks of the River Tweed straddling the Scottish/English border.
The venue has a choice of eight different venue spaces to choose from: The Front Hall (20 guests) offers a lovely bright space for intimate gatherings complete with original features and fireplace. At the same time, the Dining Room (40) delivers the beautiful elegance and historical touch of a stately home with stunning views over the vista across the river. Or why not opt for the Hayloft Gallery (60), awonderfully light, modern and self-contained space or the cosy and sumptuous Library with a distinctive setting for 30 guests?
For couples looking for an unusual space, The Boat House (35) is full of rustic charm set on the River Tweed banks or the Coble Boat is a truly memorable way to tie the knot afloat on the river. The Picture Gallery (120) is an amazing space with masterpieces on loan from National Galleries of Scotland for all the art lovers out there. For larger weddings, the Marquee (200) offers the ultimate blank canvas with glorious views over the River Tweed and Union Chain Bridge, while the Gardens (200) allows guests to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the venue. All of these spaces, except for the Coble Boat, can be used for a reception.
