Find out why Whitworth Hall Hotel & Deer Park is our venue of the week

Nestled in the heart of the Durham countryside within its own deer park near the town of Spennymoor, sits Whitworth Hall Hotel. The venue’s surrounded by lush greenery with well-established trees while the front of the hall has a small terrace looking out across the grounds.

Find out why Whitworth Hall Hotel & Deer Park is our venue of the week: Image 1 The rear of the hall boasts a gorgeous courtyard perfect for a drink's reception and wedding photos. This Grade II listed building has a beautiful interior which still maintains most of its original features including open fires, spacious receptions rooms, sweeping oak staircase and painted ceilings – perfect for any wedding day.

Whitworth Parish Church is located within the estate and offers a warm and romantic atmosphere in which to exchange vows surrounded by friends and family. Not many venues can claim to have a gorgeous 12th-century church within the grounds, which makes Whitworth Hall Hotel & Deer Park truly special.

Afterwards, guests will make a short picturesque walk to the main hall where the Duncombe Suite is able to accommodate up to 80 guests for a wedding breakfast or civil ceremony if preferred.

In the evening, the capacity increases to 120 loved ones for the reception and the celebrations can begin. With its high-ceilings, large fireplace and extensive windows looking out over the deer park, this bright and spacious room also allows easy access to the extensive grounds and adjoining bar.

Couples are offered complimentary accommodation on their wedding night when they book this venue.
