St Mary's Heritage Centre

Formally a Medieval church, St Mary’s Heritage Centre is fully restored to showcase the original beauty of the stonework and pillars with a blend of modern improvements. Surrounding the building is a Grade I listed graveyard featuring ornate and ancient gravestones and a beautiful war memorial garden.

This impressive structure features an illuminated clock face on the bell tower and Norman stoned mullioned windows – the entrance archways draw guests in with the striking walls of plate glass. As the quayside comes to life at night and the bridge across the Tyne gets illuminated, St Mary’s Heritage Centre offers a spectacular vantage point to absorb the atmosphere.

Available for receptions only, the Main Hall offers a grand, light and special wedding space with plenty of character. Lined with pillars, arches and tall windows with ample natural light, it accommodates up to 110 guests for a banquet reception or 140 for a more informal layout or evening reception. The Chancel is a smaller adjacent area which provides additional reception space or bar area for up to 50 guests.

This beautiful building needs very little decoration and offers flexible options on the catering arrangements, bar and venue styling. Staff will advise couples on how to add some special touches and décor to personalise the space and contacts for local suppliers.

Langley Castle Hotel is now offering bubble domes

To allow for a safe environment to enjoy a wonderful time with loved ones in the grounds with the castle as your backdrop, Langley Castle Hotel is now offering bubble domes. These domes have heating and lighting and are perfect for the special day or wedding breakfast. If brides are looking for somewhere to hold a hen do, look no further as what could be better than an afternoon tea, relaxation time or just having fun over a bottle of Prosecco – the possibilities are endless? With COVID-19 affecting many couples, the venue has made its tier system to correspond with the government guidelines.
