Grand Hotel, Tynemouth

Steeped in history, the award-winning Grand Hotel was built in 1872 as a summer residence for the Duchess of Northumberland. The Victorian venue is set on a clifftop overlooking some of the most picturesque locations and offers three private function suites and endless photographic opportunities.

The premises has many striking features such as the Victorian-imposing staircase, magnificent windows and the three renovated bridal suites – each one includes a jacuzzi bathtub and breathtaking waterside views!

Fully licensed for weddings, the venue has a range of spaces: The Pearl Room offers an intimate setting with up to 100 guests, and can be transformed for 60 loved ones in the evenings. For those with a larger guest list, the Orchid Suite can accommodate up to 140 people for ceremonies and 150 guests for receptions.

As an alternative, The Grand Chambers can accommodate up to 200 people and is the perfect location to get the party started for evening receptions.

The award-winning wedding team will help couples every step of the way to ensure that every detail is taken care of. A complimentary wedding taster session is offered to couples who choose the wedding breakfast package, which is cooked by the executive chef.

Loved ones can stay in any of the 46 bedrooms on-site after dancing the night away, including sea view rooms, family and double classic rooms – perfect for those travelling in.
