Your North East Wedding - July/August 2022 (Issue 51)

56 STYLE FILE Unsure of the best way to decorate your wedding space? We asked five North East venue stylists for their essential advice STYLE INSPO #1: RUSTIC/BARN WEDDING “If you’re choosing to get married in a barn then I’d always suggest combining dry flowers with fresh for that rustic vibe. Working with these combinations, as well as a muted colour palette, really complements the casual, wooden interiors of this type of venue. Picture dried hop garlands peppered with fresh foliage for variety and interest, then couple this with ornate jars of fresh meadow flowers for your table centres to finish off the look. Many barn weddings also incorporate the outdoors – so why not consider an arch? You can go traditional or opt for a pyramid design, decorated with dried and fresh materials like pampas grass, bunny tails and roses. Bouquets and boutonnieres also look great in this style and with this type of bloom and foliage.” Debbie O’Neill, The Northern Flower Garden | www.thenorthernflowergarden.co.uk www.edwardashleyphotography.co.uk www.thenorthernflowergarden.co.uk www.edwardashleyphotography.co.uk www.thenorthernflowergarden.co.uk www.edwardashleyphotography.co.uk www.thenorthernflowergarden.co.uk www.edwardashleyphotography.co.uk www.thenorthernflowergarden.co.uk
