Your North East Wedding - July/August 2022 (Issue 51)

Northumbrian Classic Cars supplied us with a beautiful cream Jaguar. It was a nod to Oli’s Grandpa, Bob, who loved his Jag and would have been so thrilled to see us get married. Oli’s a keen gardener, so our favours were gin liqueurs made from his dad’s gooseberries, plus a mix of Oli’s homegrown rhubarb. The gin certainly helped liven up the vocal chords in the evening! Barney, our ginger brown miniature goldendoodle, came to see us outside the church for photos. He wore a polka dot sea-glass b ow-tie to match the bridesmaids – and looked very dapper! With all of the emotion in the run up to the big day, the speeches were incredible and such a big part of the day for us both, and also the guests. My bridesmaids looked beautiful in their sea-glass floor-length dresses by Sorella Vita, which we bought from Accent Original Brid al in Newcastle. Oliver wore a navy three-piece suit from Reiss, with dark brown shoes and blush pink knitted tie. We asked his groomsmen to wear navy suits and black shoes, but with the same colour ties to match.
