Lumley Castle Hotel If you’re looking for an adventure, you’ve come to the right place. There’s a new discovery around every corner at Lumley Castle; every one of its opulent state rooms, 73 bedrooms and dining and relaxing areas oozes history and character.
This beautiful building has dominated the County Durham landscape for more than 600 years and its nine acres of parkland overlooking the River Wear won’t disappoint.
Ceremonies can take place in either the aptly named Garter room, which seats a maximum of 132 guests, Barons Hall, or the Scarborough room, which hold 80 friends and family a-piece.
The same spaces are available for receptions for up to 132 loved ones. Smaller parties can choose between the Northumbria, Gilt or Sceptre, seating 40, 16 and 12 nearest and dearest respectively.
