Jesmond Dene House This luxury hotel, just 15 minutes from Newcastle’s city centre, is packed with original features, including vast inglenook fireplaces, black marble columns, stained-glass windows and oak flooring and panelling. Outside you’ll find a ‘secret garden’ as well as contemporary-style space with wide terrace and informal lawn, however, next-door’s wooded valley of Jesmond Dene features waterfalls and bridges – perfect photo ops for the bride and groom.
The choice of where to become man and wife is varied, with ceremonies conducted in either the Great Hall (120 guests), the John Dobson room (40), the Frank Rich room (21) or the Norman Shaw room (26). Your reception can also be held in any of the above spaces, from up to 100 seated in the striking double-height Great Hall, to the intimate Frank Rich room which comfortably seats 16 guests at separate tables.
