Le Petit Chateau
This stunning venue is certainly true to its name; bursting with fantastical features worthy of the finest French palace, it’s a veritable treasure trove of extravagance from the grand marble fireplace flown in from New York to the vintage chandeliers.
Outside, it doens’t feel as though you’re in Northumberland, with palm trees, cascading geraniums and even the sound of singing crickets.
Ceremonies for up to 160 guests can take place in either the enchanting Belle Epoque-inspired French Chapel or the outside terrace, where the retractable cover will shield guests from the worst of the North East’s weather (after all, we’re not actually in Cannes, darling).
For receptions, the Ballroom is bound to wow, with floor-to-ceiling windows opening out on to the secret Mediterranean gardens. A scrumptious feast can be served to 160 friends and family at long banqueting tables, dressed with elegant linen, or, for a more relaxed vibe, how about rustic farmhouse tables with Louis XIV chairs?
